Veterinary Nurse Solutions was founded in 2010 by Harrie Phillips, as a solution to provide easily accessible and affordable veterinary nursing continuing education, designed for Australian nurses.

Harrie Phillips is a qualified and accredited veterinary nurse, as well as a UK registered veterinary nurse. Whilst employed at the Adelaide Veterinary Specialist & Referral Centre, Harrie has completed her Diploma of Veterinary Nursing (Surgical). She has a major interest in neuro patient rehabilitation. In 2009 she won the Veterinary Nurses Council of Australia’s (VNCA) Professional Development Scholarship to travel to the UK to further study rehabilitation and physiotherapy for neurological patients. Harrie has also volunteered as a veterinary nurse for Vets Beyond Borders at the Sera Monastery project in Karnataka. As well as being Chair of Communications for Vets Beyond Borders, she is also on the South Australian divisional committee of the VNCA.

In addition to her veterinary nursing qualifications, Harrie holds qualifications in Training & Assessment and is working towards qualifications in Human Resources, Frontline Management & sterilisation procedures. She is also enrolled with the Royal Veterinary College (UK) to undertake her Graduate Diploma in Clinical & Professional Veterinary Nursing.

Veterinary Nurse Solutions aims to provide high quality continuing education to veterinary nurses and support staff, utilising a variety of resources and innovative, modern learning environments. We also have designed a veterinary nurse forum, which has been running since 2006, enabling veterinary support staff to interact, ask questions, obtain answers and swap ideas. To compliment this, we also have a free employment section, and plan to launch other features on the website soon.
