But in order to be eligible to apply for this certificate, you must be at least 18 years of age, not still in school, and employed as a Veterinary Nurse.

If you are 18 years old, have finished school, and are able to complete 20 days of clinical placement, then please look at our ACM30122 Certificate III in Animal Care Services (Animal Care).

If you are 17 years old and have finished school, then please look at our Certificate II in Animal Care.

Along with your experience, you may be eligible to enter the course by providing either a letter from your employer, a job description or CPD that outlines your ability to perform in the following 5 key areas:

• Animal Identification, Handling & Restraint
• Working Safely around Animals
• Animal Nutrition
• Animal Hygiene Routines
• Animal Husbandry & Health Routines

Once you have provided your evidence along with a resume and proof of your employment, we will review this and let you know if you meet our entry requirements.

Note: You may still be required to do an assessment if the evidence provided is insufficient.
