Intermediate Level: This course is useful for those veterinary nurses with a few years of experience who want to learn more about radiography primarily – concentrating on positioning views correctly, safety, and evaluating for diagnostic quality.

This course will cover radiation safety, how x-ray machines and cassettes work, positioning aids, how to position correctly for a variety of common views, film faults, and everything in between. Students will also learn about MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, endoscopy and specialist imaging techniques such as contrast studies. Student’s love the information they get on positioning patients and checking that the images are suitable for diagnostic purposes.
