Professional Development Course

AVNAT Registration Points: 5

Non-Accredited

Animal welfare, and ensuring it is provided, is the mainstay behind everything we do when looking after animals in any setting. This short course takes a quick look at the animal welfare legislations and supportive guidelines and codes of practice before exploring societal beliefs, industry welfare issues and ethics including the use of animals in sport. The bulk of the course focuses on popular animal welfare frameworks and models and how they can apply to the workplace. Rounding out, you’ll get to explore some of the industry specific assessments available.

Upon finishing this course, you should be able to take your new knowledge and make positive changes in your workplace (or at home) for the animals under your care.
